• Managing ME resources and providing leadership at ME level;

  • Responsible for the year plan/ budget cycle / budget R&T-plan;
  
  
  • Helps recruiting, coaches, develops, evaluates and leads team members;

• Oversees the development and implementation of manufacturing processes and guarantees the quality-related requirements of these processes to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost efficiency;


• Guarantees that Quality Engineering (Control Plans, FMEA, …) is incorporated in every step within the industrialisation process and that critical quality requirements are sustained through robust processes;


• Responsible for the development of equipment to help in the manufacturing process (production tooling), also with respect to the HSE-side of this equipment;


• Reviews, evaluates and implements engineering changes and specification requirements;


• Provides and facilitates LEAN-courses to employees; follows-up and sponsors LEAN-projects (in concertation with the Group’s Continuous Improvements department and/or Direction of the Operational Unit);


• Coordinates with his team the realisation of Research & Technology -projects assigned to the BU and the operational unit;


• Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility;


• Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments;


• Supporting the technical quotes for new parts/programs, assemblies and modifications;

Profiel / competenties

• MSc in Engineering (Electro-mechanics, Mechanics, Materials or Aviation/Space) with minimum 5- 10 year relevant experience in production, engineering, manufacturing engineering and/or qualitymanagement and/or projectmanagement (preferably in composites);


• A good knowledge of Cleanroomactivities (Manual, ATL, AFP, HDF, RTM, SQRTM, ...), Curing and/or Machining and/or Assembling and/or Painting of parts;


• A good knowledge of automation and/or robotization of processes;


• A drive to improve and automate processes and increase the quality of parts (first time right) through robust and sustaining manufacturing processes, also using LEAN techniques;


• Mastering Dutch/French/English;


• Familiar with LEAN methodology & 6 Sigma-techniques; preferably Black and/or Green Belt;


• Familiar with the principles of an ERP system, drawing programs (Catia & Submodules as CPD, Fibersim, AutoCad,..);


• People manager;


• Analytic personality.
